International Scholarships & Summer Schools

U21 universities often open their programmes up to visiting students from other U21 members. Many of these programmes include scholarships exclusive to students currently at a U21 institution.

This page gives information about upcoming international programmes and summer schools run by U21 universities, which offer a scholarship or other benefit, such as additional courses, exclusive to students at U21 institutions.

Students are advised to consult with their home university’s study abroad/student exchange office prior to embarking on an international programme. Your home university may need to register your participation and be able to assist with information such as credit transfer, visas, accommodation and local knowledge.

University of Birmingham

The U21 University of Birmingham North America Mobility Award is open to overseas students travelling to the University of Birmingham on exchange from U21 North American partners. The award is £500 per student, and is available for up to 2 students per institution per annum.

Students are chosen by their home institution using their own eligibility criteria, which have included academic excellence and/or financial need. The students are then asked to produce a report at the end of their exchange about their experiences. Participating partners are: British Columbia, Connecticut, McGill and Virginia.
