Global Issues Programme

Enrich your undergraduate degree by completing the U21 Global Issues Programme while you study.

The Global Issues Programme (GIP) is a multi-disciplinary programme offered by the Universitas 21 network to the students of:

University of British Columbia (Canada)
Lund University (Sweden)
University of Melbourne (Australia)
University of Nottingham (United Kingdom)
University of Queensland (Australia)
Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico)

As well as taking place at a student's home university, half of the GIP is completed through at least one of the other partner institutions, whether online or participating in a semester exchange. With six universities to choose from, you can take advantage of the GIP's innovative structure, learning about global issues in a truly global context.

The GIP is a formal course of study that gives you a global context to your degree. It will help you understand topics of critical importance in this globally-connected world and allow you to develop your understanding in these topics with fellow students from other countries and cultures.

The GIP includes 70 subjects to choose from, including 15 offered online. You may choose three elective and one core subject, selecting either online or campus-based subjects.

If you are eligible to take part in the GIP, you will then be provided with login details to access the GIP database, where you can view and apply for available courses.
